I am looking for info on Docia Mayberry, dau of Frederick Mayberry and Elizabeth Simmons. She married Samuel Jackson Malugin. They had a daughter--Elizabeth. I am trying to determine whether this daughter Elizabeth married Mizzouri Warren about 1845 in Hickman, Perry, or Humphries County, Tennessee. I have seen a book by a Malugin researcher who siad that this Elizabeth married a Malcom Warren but I do not know of a Malcom Warren. I do know my gggrandfather Mizzouri Warren married an Elizabeth Malugin and think this is her. Any help out there?
Mona Mayberry Romans
moromans@aol.com
I was reading through this thread and saw your name. I am the daughter of John W. Mayberry, son of Hazel Phillip Mayberry, your mother's 1st cousin. My father spoke to Ruth a good deal before she went into the nursing home. In fact, she was my 4th grade teacher. I have received a lot of help from the Mayberry project. I went through Hickman County on my way to Memphis a couple of weeks ago and picked up some books listing the Mayberry family in them. Email me and I can give you an idea what the books say about them. Also, I had my dad take a DNA test and we are connected to Frederick Mayberry.
Mona Mayberry Romans
moromans@aol.com
I am related to most Mayberry's living in Texas. They originated in England with Richard Mabry who was married to Elizabeth Meeks, and came to America first settling in North Carolina. Half the family decided to stay apparently, and the rest moved on to Texas. Anyone looking for more info can look at my family tree here to see if your relatives are listed. I don't have as much on here as I'd like to, but I'm slowly working on it. My uncle has given me most of my info so if you need more help, I can forward your email address on to him.

I am married to a Mayberry who is related to the David K. and Frederick and Priscella Mayberry line. My husband's father and uncle married sisters so there is a strong family resemblance between them all. But we aren't sure if it is on the male side or female lineage. I also have some Mayberry info. and know that my husband has family in Norris City area, etc. still. Our son is in process of getting DNA testing because of the questions he always receives on his lineage from his looks. Will be excited to find out if this line is from Germany (like Frederick in Virginia) or England like some believe.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with.
Would be glad to exchange info. with you.
Susie M.

John Milton Mayberry is also my great great grandfather. His younger (?) daughter, Mary Ann Mayberry b 1865 is my great grandmother. I know there was another child, another John Mayberry, born approximately 1877. John Milton disappeared under mysterious circumstances when Tery Ann (nee Dobbs) was labor with the son. I would LOVE to correspond with you.

M. Dawn Blaloch
kingknight3@yahoo.com

Hi There
I too would be grateful for any information about Munnions, Munions, Monions or any other of the many many spellings- especially in Kent or Sussex.
The earliest of my direct ancestors I have traced is:
Thomas (b 18/4/1750) Munnion who Mary Norman (18/4/1772) in Lindfield, East SUssex and could well be the father of the John Munnion here mentioned. I believe your John Munnion had a brother called Thomas Munnion as well.

I suspect that these Munnions (in Lindfield) may well have come from Brenchly in Kent originally where there are many other munnions - or Lewes where there are some more going back to Jane Munnion marrying John Jenner in Lewes in Oct 1656.

I believe the family to originate in France in the 13th century in Donzy and more information can be found out about this on Sherry Miller's website in USA (search for her name on google and you will find it)
Would be glad to supply more information with anybody who is interested. My name is stephen Munnion by the way.

Susie

I would love to share information with you. I have a lot of information from Elvira Jane on down but very little before. I do have a picture I found posted on line. I have done the DNA testing and am registered with the National Georgraphic Genome project. The information indicates our family originated in the western region of the old Soviet Union after migrating through the east side of the Black Sea.

I am more interested in where Elvira Jane Mayberry Vickers died and when. I can't seem to find anyone who knows.

I received an e-mail from vchilders who is also related but have been unable to send a response to her as the e-mail is always returned.

Sue

Yes, we're second cousins and George is my great grandfather also. Since my original post I've gathered a great deal of information about these lines that I'd be happy to share. Family photos of your grandparents and great uncles and aunts, an old Chester family bible, lots of documented dates, etc.

My mother was born in Kennett, daughter of Lea Mayberry, your grandfather's sister.

Feel free to contact me - pdowns at mindspring.com

Nice to hear from you!

Pat,
We must be related. George Mayberry was my great grandfather and Elizabeth was my great grandmother. My grandfather was John Mayberry from Kennett. His daughter Ruth is my mother and is currently in a nursing home in Tennessee (close to me). I am just getting into the Family Tree but I do have the names of who I think are Georges parents - John Mayberry b. 1820 in Tennessee and Sarah b. 1825 also in Tennessee.I also have the names of probable parents of Elizabeth Chester - Jack Chester and Elizabeth King but I don't have dates. They were both born in TN. If you have further information please let me know.
Patty Driscoll
