Phyllis McAffee De Vries Hughes (1918-2005) Obit

Phyllis McAffee De Vries Hughes passed away September 24, 2005 in Salt Lake City. She was born in Heber, Utah, Oct. 2, 1918. She married Dirk De Vries and had five children. Dirk preceded her in death Sept. of 1984. Married Earl M. Hughes June 19, 1997. Phyllis had a passion for gardening and her yard was admired by others. She loved scenery. She was adored by her grandchildren and she will be missed dearly. She is survived by her husband; children, Larry, Shauna (Richard), Byron (Kathy) and Marilyn; step-children, Elaine (Ted), Pat (Ed) and Ronald E.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 48 step-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by her daughter Linda Lee. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at CareSource and Jordan Valley Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 10 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.

Louis Everett McAfee. His mother's name was possibly Brulah(maiden name unknown)

George Washington McAfee is possibly my great uncle. He had a son named Eugene. George had 2 other brothers Louis Everett and Amos Rufus or Rufus Amos, possibly he had a son named Don. At a dead end here. Any info would be appreciated.

Louis Bud McAfee is my uncle. He had a sister named Jaunita, and I believe 2 other sisters Edna and Lelah. I only found out this information in Sept of 2003. My father William McAfee is Louis' half brother (maybe). My grandfather was Louis Everett McAfee. I believe he had 2 brothers George Washington and Amos Rufus or Rufus Amos. I have hit a dead end every where else I go. Louis Bud was in Merrills Mararders (marauder.org) E-mail me and maybe we can exchange some info.

im trying to find out more info on my grandfarthers family he was kidnaped by his uncle when he was very young and we dont know muchabout the McAfee's. His name was Louis bud McAfee he died March 16 1998 he has a sister whos name is juanita and he has another one but i know nothing bout her. so if u know anything bout my family pleas let me know

I'm looking for my McAfee family too. I have a lot of information and names dating back to 1923 but I don't have your grandfather's name. Do you know if he had any sisters or brothers and their names? Do you know where he was born?

My great-great-great grandfather was William Washington McAfee, and my great-great grandfather was Jasper Newton McAfee (born in Arkansas, 1881). My great grandmother was Elsie McAfee (born in Oklahoma, 1914).

Ted McAffee

1939-2002

Ted McAffee, 62, died on April 26 at a long term care center.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1939, in Esterville, Iowa, to Leroy Gerard and Dollie Doris (Stewart) McAffee.
He moved to Cheyenne in 1942. He was raised and educated in Cheyenne.
Mr. McAffee served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 and was stationed in Germany.
He returned to Cheyenne and married Bonnie Hinnings on Feb. 17, 1968, in Rock Springs. He moved to Cokeville in 1977 and resided there until his death.
He started working at the Pittsburg-Midway Coal Mine in 1977 as a mechanic and remained until his retirement in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie McAffee; a daughter, Tammy Sheilds of Laramie; sons, Todd McAffee of Cheyenne, Troy McAffee of Kemmerer; a step-son, Tom Wickum of Cheyenne; a sister, Marilyn Moody of Fort Collins, Colo.; four brothers, Dale, Leonard and Jim McAffee, all of Cheyenne; and Gordon McAffee of Casper.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Lander.
Friends may contribute to the Cokeville Senior Center, Cokeville.
the American Cancer Society or the Charity of choice.

This is my great great grandfather, my family tree has been traced back to him but i would like to take it further. He was born in the late 1800's and lived in East Tennessee. I believe he fought in the Civil War and was killed by bushwackers.

Emma Freeman born July 1883, daughter of Joshua Freeman, possibly married Emma Freeman in 1900, although there is another Emma, born Apr 1876 in MO, listed as a boarder in the census. Did George marry Emma Freeman and did they have children?
