<y husband's family name is McAshan. There are very few left here in Houston as several families in one generation had all girls, changing the surmane. I have neen told that all McAshans in the US are related. My husbands side is originally from Tennesse but migrated to Texas in the 1700's. They were originally from Ireland. I have a geneology report which was done by another McAshan family member who is into geneology. She did a great job tracking the family. I would be happy to copy it and share it with you.

My husband's family are McAshans. He was told that all in the US are related.
He has decended from S.M. McAshan of Texas and a generation before (1700's) they lived in Tenn.
My husband's decendent was Samuel Maurice McAshan but the name Samuel (s.) is used throughout the family.
I have a complete geneological list of his family tree given to me by another relative.
I will find it and look up S.A. McAshan and see if you may be part of our family tree!
