My oldest known record is the marriage of Mark Magby and Leanna(Leander)Winchester in Tuscaloosa County Ala. in 1847.
He would have been abt. 20 Born Apprx 1827 in Alabama.

Then in 1840 he would have been 13yrs old. Review of the Census for 1840 shows only one Magby/Magby/Mabgley(Misspelling)that have male children of in this age bracket.
Therefore his father should be Robert Magby(Mabgley)born bet.1780-1790. There is also a Male over 100, which one tree names as a "Vardry" born circa. 1740.

Looking for additional info
1. to susbstiate Robert as the fatherof Mark,
2. Additional info on Robert-Spouse,children, parents
3. That Person listed on 1840 census "over 100" was a "Vardry"

Clastine Davis

Funeral services for 83 year old Clastine Davis of Winfield, Iowa was held on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa with the Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Music was provided by Marilyn Schlutz and Sharon Veach.
Clastine died on Sunday, Oct. 29 at the Colonial Manor Care Center where she had been a resident for several years. There was no visitation.
Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City, Iowa. Casket bearers were grandsons Scott Bieri, David Bieri, Tony Davis, and Todd Davis.
A memorial has been established at the funeral home.
Clastine McBee was born April 12, 1912 in Braymer, Missouri to Charles and Ida Kelly McBee. She married William “Ted” Davis May 2, 1932 in Chillicothe, Missouri. Ted preceded Clastine in death December 23, 1983.
Clastine loved to quilt and had been a homemaker all her life in the Winfield-Columbus Community.
Clastine is survived by her children, Mrs. Jack (Wilma) Bieri, Letts; Bill Davis, Winfield and Jerry Davis, Washington, Illinois. There are 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Donald McBee, Dawn, Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Cain, Winfield and Mrs. Frances DeAngelo, Long Beach, California.
Clastine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mrs. C. A. Morse, about 57 years old, a resident of Livingston County for more than 40 years, died at 8 o'clock last night at her farm home near Dawn.
Mrs. Lora Morse was born in Downing, Mo. She is survived by her husband and seven children. Her father, William Garmand lives at Memphis, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thurday afternoon from the Ludlow Methodist Church. The Rev. Laverne Rudolph of Little Rock will conduct the services. Burial will be at Monroe Cemetery under the direction of the Dickinson Funeral Home of Bogard.
The surviving children are Edwin, Kansas City; Lowell, Ludlow; Mrs. Odessa McBee, Columbus Junction, Ia.; Mildred Morse, Kansas City; Junior Morse, and Mrs. Gladys Mooney, both of Muscatine, Ia.; and Laverne of the home.

Shirley Jo Reckner, age 59 of Wapello, died Saturday March 1, 2008, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. The daughter of Archie and Odessa (Morse) McBee, she was born August 2, 1948, at Muscatine, Iowa. On May 2, 1977, she married Raymond Fredrick Reckner at Letts; he died July 6, 2005. She was a graduate of the Columbus Junction High School and a graduate of Cosmetology College. She was a homemaker, and in earlier years operated a beauty shop in Columbus Junction. In recent years she was employed at the Wapello Republican.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Brown of Wapello; one sister, Sharon Welch of Wheatland, Missouri; she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant brother.
According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no visitation or services. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, is assisting the family with arrangements.

All right here is what I have on Lillie's parents. Her father's name is John McBee, born 1879. He married Mahala Moore on May 8, 1896 in Roane County TN. They had the following children: Lillie, 1899 and Julia, 1900. The dates on the children could be wrong. My cousin worked on this a few years back and that came from his info. I know that John McBee was illiterate and rented his home. John McBee's father was Thomas Samuel Benton McBee. His mother was Mary Elizabeth Kearney. Your dad was one of a lot of children. He had a brother Hollis Arthur McBee, born 1944, died 1982. Your dad was born in Calgary, Canada. His father's name was Hollis Elmer McBee and his mom was Lois Crozier. Hollis was born February 10, 1924 in Iowa. He died on April 9, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona. Hollis's father was Harvey Elmer McBee, born October 6, 1891 and died June 1964. Harvey's wife was Anna V. Baysinger. Harvey's dad was Samuel Edward McBee, born February 1859 in Missouri. His wife was Nancy J. Booth. Samuel's dad was William Bunch McBee and his mom was Mary Ellen Robeson. I hope this is helpful to you.

Hey Danny, nice summation! Melissa and I have talked on the phone and on Facebook, and have come to the conclusion that what you have written is essentially correct.

Melissa and I are first cousins once-removed, since she is the daughter of my first cousin Rodger, whom I may have met when I was too little to remember.

We are hoping to get a couple of yDNA samples into our McBEE study. It is really gratifying to find family who have been separated for so many years.

Unless you have some information like his parents names, Let me suggest that you start with getting a copy of his death certificate. although I'm not familiar with AZ records,
most DC's normally would include things like his mother and fathers name, his occupation, place of death and burial
and an "informant", which is the person providing the information for the doc.
Also you should be able to get a copy of his birth cert.
Both of these should get you started.

I am the granddaughter of Martha Ellen McBee Tiner who was the sister of Walter Monroe McBee. I do not have much info about Walter Monroe's family. Only that he had a son Eugene, B Apr. 1906 died Oct. 1967. He had two other sons Hugo, Herbert and Henry. no other info. I have some info on Alexander and Marshall but no further back. My Great Grandpa was Monzell Thompson, son of Asa Thompson and Nancy McBee etc. etc. Your posts have been very informative and so appreciated. I would love to have any info you have to share on Nancy and Asa or their folks. Do any of you know a Nancy that was married to a Richard Jefferson that was in business w. In one of your posts you mentioned that Mary's grandfather Cochran was in the 1817 Cherokee roles. Could you elaborate on that info for me. It may be the same that I have, but I would love to hear what you have on the subject.

Several of us have been looking for years to make a connection; and now I seem to be finding hints of connections to Cherokee, Choctaw, and Chickasaw and maybe Tuscarora in several different familial lines. It is all very confusing to say the least. I have seen the record of John Cochrain registering for land on the 1817 citizenship treaty for life reservees. I have nothing else concrete. The problem I have in finding anything else is that many of the people signed up in their Indian name. It seems that most of them at this time also had an Americanized name by which they were known and recorded as in lots of the history and a connection between the two needs to be made.
