Gordon Lionel McCallum (born circa 1860, birthplace unknown) lived for a period in Dublin, Ireland while his father was an officer in the Royal Artillery. He had seven uncles who also served in the Royal Artillery including my gg-grandfather James Lumber McCallum. Gordon Lionel emigrated to Australia in the late 1880's and by 1933 was a retired Bank Manager living with his wife Margaret in Brisbane, Queensland. He served for a period in the Royal Dragoons and with the 2nd Remount Unit AIF in WWI. For some unknown reason in a 1933 newspaper article, Gordon Lionel identifies himself as H. McCallum, the electoral roll identifies him correctly.
