Maury Hugh McAlmond was born in 1871, married Regina Cole. His father, reportedly was a Scottish sea captain. Maury was a peace officer in Calexico, CA, and in San Deigo, CA around 1912 to 1913. He built a home either in Calexico or San Deigo. He had a trucking business, shipping alfalfa hay from the Imperial Valley to Phoenix, AZ. After the Depression, he and his family lived in Wickenburg, AZ. and Phoenix, AZ until the early '40's.
