My greatgrandfather always told me we were Irish. But as I look up McCamey I find it is Scottish. How can this be. my grnadparents Charles H McCamey and my grnadmother Ruth Vivian came from West Virgina, then I grew up in Maryland. My greats were: Charles H McCamey Sr and Flora Ruth McCamey. It was his father who brought them from Ireland he told me to Pennsyvania then then settled in West Va where they raised my grandfather. Confused?
