Dear Mary,
how far back do you go with your McCarthy Reagh family in Skibbereen?
My McCarthy Reagh family come from Garralacka near Clonakilty but in the Barony of Killkerrinmore. I can verify back to 1800 thanks to a written list from a living cousin in Clonakilty but before that is a bit vague - the correct male names but maybe not the correct wives names & lots of children missing as only the main line followed.
If we can fill in 1640-1800 we can both link back to the pedigree of the McCarthy Reagh & McCarthy Mor with a common ancestor at approx 400 AD (DNA proven).
How WIDE is your tree? Because the McCarthy are all cousins & intermarried with the other major Munster families.
My PUBLIC tree is 'Josephine Salt FamilyTree Halloween 2012'.
