According to the UK 1911 Census, Nora was born around 1880 in Skibbereen. Her marriage certificate states she is the daughter of Michael McCarthy, Seaman HMS (presumably from Skibbereen. Nora arrived in the UK probably around 1900, travelling with 'a cousin'. Word has it, her brothers went to the USA. Does anyone know more about her or her family? Nora was my paternal grandmother.
