Hi I'm trying to trace Thomas McCarthy who married Sarah Ann Steel in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1861. I have the marriage certificate which states that Thomas was born in 1838 in Dublin, Ireland to James McCarthy (a chemist) and Ann St Clare but I'm struggling to find any more information on him.
