Body Is Linked With Missing Man

HUGO, April 22-(UP)- Discovery of a body in a field near Hugo last January 22 was linked Saturday night with the disappearance about a month earlier of Clayton McClaine, 60-year old farmer of near Watonga.

A man was held here for questioning but no charges were filed. The arrest was made after the body tentatively was identified through clothing and measurements as McClaine's. The man held for questioning was believed to have been acquainted with McClain.

I am trying to find any information on my ggg-grandmother, Ethel Dale McClain(e). She married Otis Ert Spidel. My info says she was born 22 Apr 1882 ( I don't know where), and died 15 Nov 1942 in Wabash Co., Illinois. She had 6 sons: Eldon, Clyde, Raymond "Max", Paul, Floyd, and Kenneth Spidel. This is all I know about her and I am stuck. Any info is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello. I have not been on this site for quite a while and am thrilled to see someone writing about the McCormick-MacLaine connection. My grandfather, William McCormick, was from Donegal, (the village of Carrowtrasna on the Inishowen peninsula, specifically). I have done searches over the last twenty years and have determined that the McCormick name is not of Irish origin, but of Scots and that the McCormicks' were a sept of the MacLean's of Lochbhuie (sp.?), Isle of Mull, Scotland. I do know that my great-grandfather, James, a blacksmith, was married to Bridget Lynch, of the same area. His father was Thomas McCormick, and that's all I know. If anyone has info on the McCormick's in Donegal or Scotland, please e-mail me at: SKT49er@worldnet.att.net. I am planning another trip back next year to Ireland, and maybe again to Scotland to see what info may be available now.

I tried e-mailing Norma Runyon at nrunyon@comteck.com but it came right back. I just put my Grandfather (John Frederick McCormick 1901-1986) and got connected to Donogh Maccormac. Can anyone tell me where they are buried & if anyone has any pictures of the headstones. I would like to get copies for the family history. Adam was born abt. 1765, but don't know where. He and Catherine Fridley were married in Rockingham Co. Va. 1806. Together they had several children including an Adam. This Adam had a Simon Jackson. I am researching my Losh family. As far back as I can go is with Adam Losh born abt. 1780. He married Catherine Fridley 16 Sept. 1806 in Rockingham City Va.
I am trying to find their children, one being an Adam Losh b. abt. 1809.

I have a very old and very rare book. I think it was a teachers journal in Bruceton, Preston county WV for her Bible Class. The date on it is July 2nd, 1871. My grandfather's grandfather was from the Dumphries area. I am looking for any more info on his family. Do you have any clues? I figure mid to late 1800's. He married a woman from England then they moved to Boston around the turn of the century.

I am looking for information on the family of George Albert McClaine. George married Sallie Light in Gonzales Texas about 1898 and they had one son named George Albert McClaine born about 1899.
