Surnames: McCollough/McCullough
My paternal grandmother was Virginia Frances McCollough (McCullough). She married Drury Grant Whitehead on November 15, 1903 in Alabama.
I can find well-documented information about my grandfather, however, I have found minimal information about my grandmother. She was born in either 1874 or 1875. I Have found no info about her parents. I did find once piece from an 1880 census taken out Natural Bridge, Rockbridge, Virginia at the home of Peter H. McCullough and wife Mary (no other info on Mary) which estimates the birth year of the daughter Virginia to be about 1874. In addition to the child Virginia, the census list the other children as Willis, Ezra, Caroline, a baby McCullough, and a 17 year old Silas Walker.
