Surnames: McConnell, Barclay
Anyone who is interested in the origins of Alexander McConnell of Chester/Lanc. Co. PA, d. 1729, may want to review my posting on the subject(title: McConnell Breakthrough) either on the McConnell rootsweb list or over in genforum. It is too lengthy to be retyped here, but the evidence indicates that he is identical to the Alexander McConnell, royalist soldier, who was captured at the Battle of Worcester in 1651 and banished to Boston(along with Cana, Daniel, and Wm McConnell).
