I am interested in seeing more McConnell men participate in the Clan Donald DNA Project. I have 3 cousins in that project, and so far, they match each other, but they don't have any other matches in the project.

My line is from the Lake Hopatcong area of Morris and Sussex Counties in New Jersey, and may be related to a bunch of other McConnell families that have lived in those counties, Warren County in NJ, Northampton County in PA, Orange County in NY, Chemung and Steuben Counties in NY, and parts of Michigan.

This is a really good time to order a 37 marker test, especially if you would like a free mitochondrial DNA test thrown in as part of a promotion by the testing company that has tested nearly all of the McConnell men in the project.

I would be happy to answer questions for people interested in testing for their McConnell lines and other lines with variant surnames.
