I am looking for McCormack's from New York State. My father, Gerard William Joseph McCormack Jr. was born in Queens, New York and his father, Gerard William McCormack Sr. was married to Katherine Rehm, my grandmother. Katherine also was married after grandpa died and has a daughter who was married to a Puerto Rican with 2 sons named Raymond and Raphael. Last I heard my grandmother lived in Miami, Florida to a man named Capone.

I am Looking for info on James McCormick,b.1844, Longford Co.(I believe).He was the son of James Mc., who married Margaret Walker Aug. 29, 1837. Margaret was the daughter of William Walker. They were Protestants. James and Margaret had a son,James, born in Kenagh.
Mostly, I am hoping to find living relatives in Ireland. Does anyone has experience dealing with this?

Hi I have a grandmother Anna McCormack born in New York she lived in Brooklyn- She had a relative named Alice McCormack again from New York back in the 1900-1960. Looking for other who might know of her parents. I think they were from Ireland- according to the 1920 censes. Let you know if I find out more.

It is possible? I am interested in Claiborn McC who lived in Washington co,VA near my ancester John McCormack. John owned land in the area from 1790-1820. I have his children documented.Family moved to Indiana 1820.

Claiborn is found in the 1810 census Wash.County and in several deeds from 1790-1810.
It seems he was born about 1780 +/- years. Claiborn and John could be cousins,brothers, not known.

Searching for family of Matthew McCormack b.1844 & Bridget Broderick b.1850. Children all born in Manhattan, NY Edward b. 1869 Matthew b.1871 Charles b.1872 Bridget/Maggie b.1875 and James b.1877.

James was my g-grandfather. He is the only one to have moved to New Jersey. I have Matthew married in NYC in 1867 and possibly found him with two brothers on an 1860 census. Would love to find my relatives and just give them a shout out.

I am searching for information concerning the parents and family origins of Margaret Ellen McCormack/MacCormack. She was born on July 23, 1890 in Boston, MA., POSSIBLY the d/o Henry MacCormack and Catherine ( maiden name unknown ). In 1914, Margaret Ellen McCormack married Peter Alphonsus McPhee/MacPhee ( b. Sept. 13, 1892 in Boston, MA.; POSSIBLE son of Peter F. McPhee and Mary McDonald ) in Boston, MA.

Information from a family member on this McCormack family:

1. John McCormack: born ca. 1810; died in Mar., 1890; was from Clanranold Lands in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. He married Dorothea McDonald on Oct. 15, 1844 in Souris. Their son, Allen McCormack was born in 1844 at Grand River ( now called Boughten River ), lot # 55. He married Mary McKenzie and he died in 1875 at St. Andrews. Dominique, child of John and Dorothea, was born in 1848 in lot # 55. Their son, John Leonard ( Leo ) McCormack, was born on June 27, 1852 at Grand River, lot # 55, in P.E.I. He was baptized on July 16, 1852 at St. George's. He died on Nov. 18, 1928 in Boston, MA., where he became a citizen of USA in 1918.

I have been told that Lot # 55 is not far from Georgetown and Royalty in Kings Co., P.E.I., and that lot # 55 comprises St. George's parish. I have not verified the information above given to me by a family member.

I am searching for information concerning John McCormack and Dorothea McDonald, their parents, and their family origins. Any help would be very much appreciated.

We believe the McCormack family left TN at this time, and moved to Williamson Co IL.

The McCormack family is also believed to be connected to the Henry and Eve Darr family, and perhaps married their daughter.

This was my auntie and her family name is TRAILL and they lived in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. Jessie was born in 1897, mother Mary Ann and Father George William.
