It sounds to me that you are looking for recent McCracken generations. I can't suggest much there, but there is a lot of information about the McCrackens of Dearborn Co., Indiana. They moved there from New Jersey in 1815. They helped to found the town of Manchester, IN. One was Col. Mark McCracken. There is considerable information about this family in the Dearborn Co. Historical Society, located in Lawrenceburg, IN. The will of Mark McCracken Sr. filed in 1815 is at Hamilton Co. Probate Court in Cincinnati. This family ultimately came from Northern Ireland in the early 1790s. I know nothing about the family in the last 100 years. If your family was in southeastern Indiana very long, you are probably descended from this Scotch-Irish McCracken family. A famous McCracken was Henry Joy McCracken who led a rebellion against the English in Ireland in the 1790s, for which the British hung him. There are books about the McCracken family--it is a distinguished American family.
