Just checked the McCracken board and found the postings RE: Nimrod McCracken. I am descended from Nimrod's son Christopher's daughter Lilly who married Albert Olin. I could find no evidence that Nimrod was buried anywhere other that his homestead.

In reply to the message sent to me from Deborah, a descendant of Nimrod's sister Nancy -- I am descended from their brother William McCracken, and his son Henry Austin McCracken, who was my great-grandfather. I found Henry's grave in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS. Nimrod is my 2nd great-granduncle, and Nancy is my 2nd great-grandaunt. So, to Deborah, we are distant cousins! I welcome any communication from distant cousins, because my side of the McCracken line was misplaced three generations ago, and I'm just now putting it back into place for my ten grandchildren. Glenda? I got your message regarding a book about the William McCracken line. That would be William, father to my great-grandfather Henry Austin McCracken. Right? I can't get your email address off the Message Board. So, send it to me if you want to correspond. Looks like we're cousins. Joy McCracken Chichester, Lakewood, CO. joychi@quixnet.net

I didn't reply sooner, because my network connection has been spotty for eight months - PC / not ISP problem. You say you have William McCracken info. Would that be William b. Feb. 19, 1793 Union, SC, d. May 18, 1847 Athens, Limestone, AL? If so, he is my gg-grandfather, through Henry Austin McCracken. Joy Chichester joychi@quixnet.net.

Hello,

My name is Robert McCracken. My dad's family is descended from John Fulton McCracken, son of Nimrod. We've done some research on this branch if this is of any help. We play around with it from time to time and are always looking for more information.

In fact, my wife and I had our first child about 20 months ago...William Maddox McCracken. Another generation of McCracken's continues!

Feel free to e-mail if you have questions or if you find out anything...

Thanks
