Hello, I am thinking there is a connection maybe. Do you know if there were any Edward or James in your line? My family had always said that the name was Edward James and then they switched to naming one of the sons James Edward, and then they switched back to Edward James. My father was Edward James and so was my Grandfather. My great-grandfather I believe was James Edward and I think is the same one as the son of this Delorm. I am wondering if the Delorm that I found was really Edward or even Eduardo, since the census said that these people could not read/write. This Delorm was married to a Mary Jackson (put on the census as Maria) and had children named William, Burton (spelling?), Mallissa, and James. Let me know what you think about Lemual being the brother of Delorm. I hope we are onto something now. I think I found the Delorm, Delema on the 1870 census for Van Wert County, Pleasant Township, Ohio and I found a marriage certificate for Mary Jackson and Delorm McCracken indicating they were married in 1852 I believe. After the 1870 census, it is like they disappeared off the face of the earch. Now I am really curious. thanks for your note. have a great day!
