I am looking into the McCreery name in Kent. My grandfather was George McCreery and his dad was Christopher McCreery. It is rumoured in the family that his dad may have changed his name from mccready when coming over from ireland? does anyone have any info on this?

My grandads brother was also a famous boxer called alfred? If anyone has any info on this family please let me know. thanks sarah
