my family has seemed to use them all. mcdivott seems to be the main one they use, but i don't know if that just due to james and his irish accent. they wrote things down how they spelt them then. My family of Mcdades moved to England in 1870's and they kept the spelling Mcdade and never used anything other spelling after that. I'm just unsure about the family who stayed in scotland. I believe it was only my ggggrandfather who moved
