Hi Jim! I don't think you made a mistake. Marion the daughter was named after her mother, Marion L. Oakes McDaid. You can see them back in Fitchburg MA in the 1930 census after the marriage broke up. Other evidence is in the Massachusetts Town and Vital Records, where there is a record of Marion the daughter marrying a Frank Hodgdon--her parents' names are there as well. This renewed McDaid activity came about when I was contacted by Jose in the message thread, who just discovered that his mother, I believe, was actually John McDaid's daughter. He found legal papers after his mother's passing, and found evidence of this. I sent him a copy of the photo of John that you had sent me years ago! I also found a photo of my aunt from the early 1950's in a photo of the staff of a community theater group in the PCZ. I gave me confirmation that your father was correct in identifying her in a couple of the other photos that you had sent me. So thank you very much for those! I am now going to check out the link you just sent. Thanks again! My skills are a little better now, too!
