Thanks so very much Susan. I agree ... I think it's the right connection. The 1850 US Census lists Sarah as age 55 and born in Kentucky. I knew she had to have been born after 1792 since her father gave permission to marry. This was a tough puzzle to put together since many of the censuses lists McDonald and other variations.
She is the youngest (at this point) of 7 children ... possibly 13, but I haven't found that to be correct. She had an older sister (Mary Polly McCrocklin-All) that settled in Vigo County. It also appears another sister (Nancy McCrocklin-Carrithers) settled in the area as well.
In the 1860 US Census, are all those children beginning with Benjamin from Squire? I assume Benjamin is 27? It appears Alexander's age is 60, but could that be 68 (has a very small 0)?
Are you aware of Marshall McDonnall (18 Sep 1788-20 May 1850) that lived in Nelson/Spencer County, Kentucky? He is buried in Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery. I wonder if that's Alexander's brother?
