Hi Susan,

If I have the right connection, then wife #1 is Sally (Sarah) McCrocklin (McLaughlin). Marriage bond to Alexander McDonell (sp ?) signed on 8 Aug 1814 in Nelson County, Kentucky. Marriage took place on 9 Aug 1814. "Jesse McLaughlin" filed consent with marriage bond (in person) as father of Sally. Bond signed by Jess McLaughlin. Marriage performed by Moses Pierson.

Keep in mind the name McLaughlin that is found on several documents either evolved or was a mispelling of McCrocklin.

George Washington McCrocklin (born in KY), Sally's brother, lived in Sullivan County from about 1826 to his death in 1850. He is my 3d great-grandfather. He is buried in Friendship Cemetery in Sullivan County.

Do you have more info on Sally (Sarah)? Do you think this is the right connection? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Mike
