Hello Kevin,
I hope this address is still good. I have a James McDannel who married a Salome Shook and lived in Stark and Summit counties Ohio.He didn't moved but Franklin township went from being Stark county to Summit county in 1840.James died before the 1850 census but I believe that falls within his birth time frame and he was from Pennsylvania. Could Jacobus McDannel and Salome Suchen be the same people? Some of the children moved to Wells county, Indiana in the 1840's. I have found a Issac McDannel who lived in Iowa, Where he me and married his wife Julia Hagle, they lived in Pleasantville, Marion, Iowa. When the Civil war broke out he returned to Noble County, Indiana where he enlisted and my g-g-grandmother his sister lived. He also Lived in Peru, Miami, Indiana later in life moving to Chicago where he died in 1914. Could this all be the same family? James died the 26th Mar 1841 in Franklin township, Summit county formerly Stark county, Ohio.
