Looking for any information or links on my 4th great
grandmother, Bridget McDermott Freel.
I am most interested in learning the names of her
parents and siblings, as well as her town of birth.
She was a native of Co. Sligo, IRELAND, born c. 1814.
She married James Freel c.1835 in Ireland and gave birth to four or five
children before immigrating with her husband and
children to Ontario, CANADA. They settled in
Pickering Twnp and later Mara Twnp (which is at the
northeastern end of Lake Simcoe). She passed away
April 28, 1861 and is buried at St. Columbkille's
cemetary in Uptergrove, Ontario. The family was
Catholic.
