YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– Floyd A. “Tony” McDuffie Sr., 48, walked home through the gates of Heaven on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. McDuffie was born Feb. 27, 1963, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of Floyd and Geraline Stanford McDuffie.
He was in shipping at Kraftmaid for 12 years, a member of the church, a 1981 South High School graduate and coached the Girard Little Indians football team for 10 years. He was an Air Force veteran.
He was a loving husband and father, leaving his mother of Youngstown; his wife, the former Crystal Ann Jenkins, whom he married May 22, 1993; five children, Tonya Mowry of Riverside, Calif., Floyd A. McDuffie Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher McDuffie Sr. of Youngstown and LaTonya and Malcolm McDuffie, at home; five siblings, Alice Carter of South Bend, Indiana, Lauren Richardson, Lawrence (Mary) McKeever, Theresa Lattimore and Dr. FloEtta (Fred) Jordan, all of Youngstown and Minister Stephanie McDuffie of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Derrick Mowry of Riverside, Namiah L. Bragg of Champagne, Ill., Christopher McDuffie Jr. of Youngstown and JaQuan Wiggins, at home; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Matthew A. King.
A viewing will be Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m. at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.
