He lived in Illinois and was married maybe to Eliza. I know he was born between 1814 and 1821. He may have had a son Isaac, John and George Washington McElfresh, my g-g grandfather. It looks like to me his first wife Eliza died shortly after child birth and the children were farmed out and you see him with them every once and awhile. I believe he died in Smith County, Kansas. He moves around alot and I can not find him in all the census, such as 1850 and 1860. I do find him in 1855 census Shelby County, Illinois
