Hi, Does anyone know for sure that Fred Ferguson, son of Isaac & Nancy (Sisk) is the father of Jesse J McElyea (b. 1866? In the census's (1860-80) He is listed as F.F. and Madison Co records lists 3 marriages: F.F. & Amanda Shelton: 31 Dec 1860; Ferguson F & Frances Bowles: 8 Nov 1871; Fredrick F & Mary Downey: 21 Jul 1855. From the censes's it looks like the same McElyea married Amanda Shelton, then she must have passed/left and he married Frances Bowles. But then I am left with the the McElyea that married Mary Downey. I guess im am unsure which of these two (the 1 that married both Amanda & Frances or the 1 that married Mary Downey) is the one that is the son of Isaac McElyea & Nancy (Sisk). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
