Not sure if there is any link to my McEwan, but possible. My great grandfather John McEwan had 2 daughters & 5 sons probably all born in 1880s. All the children emigrated to Canada & U.S. Prior to WW1, brothers John, Alex, Charlie and Jim went to NYC & Asbury Park, NJ. My grandfather, Duncan, and sisters Grace & Jessie went to Hamilton, Ontario. Their mother, Jane McEwan (nee McKinnon)eventually left Scotland for Hamilton. All contact with U.S. side of family lost prior to Duncan's death in 1962.
