I would be interested to hear from any descendents of Margaret McFarland who immigrated to N.Z. on board the ship, Merope, which arrived in Lyttelton on 10 August 1872.
She was 24 and came from Tyronne, Ireland. My ancestor Mary Somerville was the only other Irish girl on board and they were probably friends. Maybe we could share information?
