The Dr. McGavin recently made a knight of the Legion of Honor by the French government is a brother of Robert McGavin, of Manitowoc.

03 Apr.1902 Mr. and Mrs. ROBERT McGAVIN, well-known citizens of our community, celebrated
their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sat. They were married 29 Mar. 1852 in Scotland, leaving the next day for America where they arrived in New York on 04 May. Since 15 June of that year they have been residents of Manitowoc. They have 6 children here. He
is 76, she 77, and both are exceptionally healthy.

Oldest Odd Fellow Dies
Manitowoc Feb. 13 1910
Robert McGavin, probalby the oldest Odd Fellow in the state, is dead. He was 84 years of age and had held many of the chairs in the grand lodge of the order. He was the father-in-law of Otis T. Hare of Millwaukee.

Death Saturday of 83-year old Mrs. Robert Mcgavin after a long illness. The lady had suffered a stroke about a year ago from which she was never able to fully recover. The deceased, who was born in Scotland, came to America with her husband in 1852, and settled here where she has lived
ever since. She leaves her husband and 7 children. The funeral took place Tuesday
