Looking for information on Christiana. According to the marriage banns her surname was McGEADY, although the marriage itself is recorded as MARGARETKE... a name that just doesn't really exist!

Her maiden name may be SELBY, and she may have also gone under the name of Ann.

The following details refer to the marriage, and what appears to be a subsequent marriage after the likely death of Thomas ARNOTT/HARNETT.

V1840 147/24B. St. James, Sydney
Thomas ARNOTT, widower, of this parish, and Christiana MARGARETKE, ****** widow, of this parish, married by banns, 22 June 1840, by Robet Allwood.
Witnesses: Joseph Moss of Castlereagh Street and Elisha Hayes of Pitt Street Sydney.

SAG reel 62, marriage banns from St. James's church King Street, Sydney.
Name:                             Thomas ARNOTT
                                       Christiana McGEADY (interesting
that the marriage record shows her as "Christiana Margaretke")

Condition:                       Widower
                                       Widow

Abode:                            of this parish
                                       of this parish

Ship's name                     Ocean   1808
                                       Miller  1840  (looked like
Miller but may not have been)
Remarks:                        Free
                                      Came free to the colony

On 12 December 1848, William Rodgers, a bachelor, married Christiana
Harnett, a widow, at St. James Church, Sydney. They were married by
banns by Charles F. D. Priddle. The witnesses were Sophia Martin of Kent
Street and Allolzens Hoeh of Buckfield Hill.

Rodgers/Harnett banns which, being in 1848,
gave less information than that given in 1840.  It did show that William
Rogers was a bachelor, aged 48, free.  Christiana Harnett was a widow,
aged 40.
