I have two great aunts who were sent to Knoxville orphanages around 1915 after their father was killed in an altercation with the police. They were 7 and 12 years old. Their older brother James V McGill is my grandfather. He was about 17 or 18 when their father was killed. The girls names are Elsie and Vena McGill. Is there a way to obtain the orphanage records to possibly track down my GGfather? The orphanages were St John's and Knox County Industrial School.
