I've traced my McGlothin line to Wythe Co VA in the mid 1800s. I believe John came from Ireland to Virginia about 1835. There were other McGlothins in Virginia and I wonder if there is a relationship. John was apparently married to a Chinault/Shinalt as there were Chinaults living in his household in 1850 in VA. In 1860 they are in Blount Co. TN.

Is anyone researching this particular line?
