I recently ran across an article in the 11-4-1954 Tuckerman (Arkansas) Record about the 60th wedding anniversary of J.T. McGough and Lona V. Bryant, who married in Alpine, Alabama on Sept. 12, 1894, and felt that someone on here might be looking for them. I'm distantly related to the wife of their son Hugh.

Mr. and Mrs. J.T. McGough Celebrate 60th Anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. J.T. McGough celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently. The actual anniversary was September 12.
The couple was married at Lapine [Alpine?], Alabama in the home of the bride on September 12, 1894. The bride was 16 and the groom, 24. Mrs. McGough was the former Miss Lona V. Bryant of Alpine.
Mr. and Mrs. McGough came to Swifton from Alabama in 1915 and farmed the J.D. Ashley Sr. farm in the Pleasant Valley community and have lived in or near Swifton since that date.
They have eight children, all now living except one. They are: Mrs. Ursa Shreeves, Montgomery, Ala., Mrs. Liza Mclugen, Valley Park, MO, Mrs. Lizzie Campbell, Beebe, Ark. (Mrs. Melugen and Mrs. Campbell are twins), Mrs. Velma Lamb, Grubbs, R.D. McGough, Walnut Ridge, Mrs. Essie Scott and Hugh McGough of Swifton.
They have 27 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
