I am currently working on my family line and most of the family is from the Jackson County, WV area. My great grandfather, Samuel David Cooper had three children: Myrtle Cedelle, Mary Catherine, and Obediah. I have the lines on Mary Catherine and Obediah, who was my grandpa. The problem is Myrtle Cedelle Cooper. I do know that Myrtle Cedelle Cooper was born in Jackson County, WV on Jan. 1879 and died in 1935. She married William T. McGown on March 3, 1895. He was born Aug. 1875 and died July 28, 1921. His family was from the New Brighton, PA area. Some of the children even moved back to New Brighton, Pa and the East Liverpool, OH. area, after the death of their father. William is a son of John & Priscilla (Batton) McGown. I believe Priscilla died young, possible during childbirth and John re-married second a Emily Buchanan. Here is a list of the children I have with William & Mertle McGown.
1. Charles Ebon McGown b. Jan. 12, 1896 He married Ester Lockhart on April 11, 1918.
2. Hamond Dewey McGown b. July 9, 1898 (He was in W.W.1)
3. John Samuel McGown b. June 9, 1900 married Winnie Pearl Benson. Some of his children lived in the Coolville, Oh area. He died in Williamstown, Wood Co., WV.

6. Ethel Corrine McGown b. Jan 21, 1906
7. Cecil Delbert McGown b. June 18, 1910
8. William L. McGown b. August 21, 1912 (He died a baby)

10. Ade Belle McGown b. Jan. 15, 1919 (Never married)
