My mother was Maxine Marie McIlroy 7/27/18 to 11/26/99.
Her father was Wm. Franklin McIlroy and his father was Daniel W. McIlroy.
I have information that goes back to Daniel #1 born 1756-58. His father was John McIlroy
born 1727 in County Down Ireland and John's father James born 1700(?) also in County Down.
The trouble I am having is that Daniel #1 is listed as a "Scottish" Immegrant. And I have seen
information regarding a James McIlroy from Scotland. If anybody has info on the Scot James or the Irish
James, could you share some insight? At this point I am unable to get any further back then James McIlroy
1700. I'm really confused!
I am have also been told that my cousin (age 60) is the last of "our" McIlroy line, if I have any family out
there that can prove me wrong, I'd love to establish family ties with you.
