For those of you hitting a brick wall out there heres the reason why.In the 16,17,and 18th century's the McIver's(McIvor's,McKeever's) were also known as McIver Campbell's.We are decendants of the clan of McIver.Though many carry the name McIver,or Campbell because it was used by both indescriminatly as they wished,the actual decendancy is from Colin Campbell Knight of Lochaw.Colin had three sons,The eldest being a Colin,the second being Tavish( Tause),and the youngest being Iver(EEVER).Colin was from the 1st wife while Tavish and Iver were by the second wife the Lady Sween of Castle Sween.So you might also look to the Campbell surname for possable answers.I know this to be a fact for by DNA testing and over 600 hours research I have discovered my family tree this way.
