James McKaig was my great,great grandfther.I have some information I can share with u.
1) His middle name was Edward
2)His daughters name was Estella McKaig and his grand-daughters name was Mary Viola Keech who was my grandmother.
3)James was born 1864 in Montague Township Lanark County,Ontario
and died march 10/1919 in Dawn Township Lambton Ontario
4) He and Mary Jane Harris married on Nov. 28/1888 in Thamesville-Kent City,Ontario
5) James worked as a steel worker in Sault Ste.Marie,Ont. in 1907
His next job was Teamster Queen City Oil Company in 1910
His 3rd job was Shipper Imperial Oil in 1913
6)James was buried in Oil Springs Cemetary in Oil Springs Lambton Couty,Ont.
7)He lived in Thamesville-Kent City County,Ont. in 1888

10)James' wife Mary Jane Harris went blind at the age of 26 from glaucoma.
She got gangrene from an ingrown toenail and she also had diabetes.
She lived with Ire and his wife Genevieve for approx. 7yrs. from 1938-1947 until she died.
She was buried in St.Thomas Cemetary in St.Thomas,Ont. with her son Nelson.
11)My mothers name is Retta(Rita) Amey she is Mary Viola Keech's daughter she is 61yrs. old and lives in Winnipeg,Manitobe Canada.I also live in Winnipeg, Manitoba as well
My mother was born in North Bay,Ont. and I was born in Parry Sound,Ont.
