"The Register of the Privy Council of Scotland" (volume 10. page 102, February 1685) in reign of Charles II states that four men were tried, two refused to recant and were sent to be "processed" while John McKail and Thomas McMurtry "dismist on enacting themselves not to take up arms against the king" and freed on caution.
I am looking for info about John McKail. Where was he from, what did he do, etc.? - With thanks, Andrew
