hi,i,m trying to find a link to my father,s family,he sadly passed away and i am trying to research my family tree for my children and their children also.i have found family members on my mother,s side quite easily,but it,s more difficult as he was born in scotland.my father,s mothers name before marriage was sarah hunter born in glasgow in the gorbals,she married my grandfather alexander mckay but she also kept her maiden name so was known as sarah hunter mckay.she had siblings ,i only know one sister was called lucy.sarah and alexander had 2 son,s my father john alexander mckay born 14/10/1921 in glasgow and died july 1996 in birkenhead also his brother robert hunter mckay born 18/11/1923-died december 1997 in birkenhead cheshire.my father married my mother winifred foulkes on 5/5/1945-1946 .
