You can actually aquire a copy of the Book of McKee from WWW.SGENEALOGY.COM
Stevensons genealogy. I have found the book a bit frustrating because I have not found what I am looking for. It is based mainly on Alexander McKee who was a traitor during the revolutionary war. He came with his son Thomas to Pennsylvania in the early 1700's. He also has David McKee's the founder of Mckeesport PA in there and then Stewart and Henry Mckee of Rathfriland. You are of one of these lines then this book will be of great value to you. If not you will find yourself as I am LOST!!! My McKee's emigrated from Ireland either from Alexander McKee spoken of before or of a completely different branch, both migrated to Knox County ohio in 1809-1810. There was a Charles McKee married To Margaret Lockhart who died in Knox county in 1838 of union township. He has sons Samuel H McKee, Alexander McKee who is my 4th generation grandfather and Charles Jr. The other Mckee was Alexander Mckee and he too moved in from Pennsylvania. From all I can find Charles came to Ohio from Ireland via Pennsylvania and Alex came from Pennsylvania and the history of Knox county states that he was a friendly Irishman who drank with the Indians in the area. He was mauled by a bear while out hunting birds.
My frustration with the Mckee line is that it is so hard to find anything past the early 1800's in order to match up the parents with the children.
Good luck in your search!
