Jean,

I just found a photo and on the back its says "Uncle Robert and Nellie McDowell, all our lovely Irish linens come from their mill in Belfast."

Nellie would have been my Great Great Grandmother's Sister. She would have been Nellie MacKey.

Her sister Margaret MacKey (possible Margarite-from one hand written note) married a Mckee (Robert according to LDS records-possibly George matching family names with Ancestry.com 1891 Scotland census records).

Margaret's daughter Wilhemina McKee (my Great Grandmother) married John M. Krause. Their daughter Mildred E. Krause was my Grandmother.

So I guess i should be looking for a McDowell Linen Mill.

But to answer your question, Wilhemina was born in Belfast according to LDS records. My records show that the McKee's were from Scotland but I am now confused by the discrepancy between the Robert vs George.

If you can shed any light on the matter that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob
