He died shortly after birth of son James Edgar, presumably in civil war. I am looking for James M McKeehan's parents names. I am stuck as i don't know his full middle name nor am i sure where he was born. I have 2 census records from his son, James Edgar McKeehan (B: 23 Oct 1865), which lists his birth as either Ireland or Pennsylvania, but since he married in Iowa, he could have been born in Iowa.

If anyone has any information or advice on how to proceed, please let me know.
