I have copies of a will of Thomas McKeel 1-5-1761, doesn't name wife (possibly Mary), sons John, Thomas Jr. and James, daughters Lisabeth married ? Price, Mary, Martha, and daughter-in-law Mary Hardy.
I also have a copy of a will of John McKeel 9-11-1782, doesn't name wife, children Elizabeth, Sara, and James.
Thomas McKeel (clerk,deacon) and Mary McKeel were longtime members of the Washington Baptist Church which was later moved and renamed Beaver Dam Church of Christ (1873).
In the 1781 Beaufort Militia Benjamin McKeel is named.
Land List of Bath County 1717 named Antonio McKeel as being given 300 acres on the W't side of Pamlico River.

James L. Woolard married Penny McKeel 3-4-1869.
Aaron Woolard married Sarah McKeel 2-24-1875, they had a daughter named Minerva Alice born in Vienna, Va. Aaron was the son of Ashley and Alpha Snowden Braddy Woolard.
Andrew Woolard married Josephine McKeel 1-5-1871.
Moses Woolard married Isabella McKeel 2-11-1879.
Absolom Woolard married Sarah J.W. McKeel 3-11-1869. There was an Ellen McKeel 1840-1865 listed in the Absolom Woolard cemetery.
Wiley McKeel married Louisa Jane Chauncey, daughter Sara Elizabeth Woolard (widow) b)3-12-1854 d)3-27-1915 Long Acre Township, NC, buried at Asbury Church yard.
Parthenia McKeel b)6-11-1862 d)11-12-1918 married Richard W. Boyd.

My interest in this family is researching the Woolard line, along with Braddy, McKeel, Alligood, Canady, Sawyer, Waters, Pinkham, Boyd, Gurganus, Everett, Green(e), Price, Hardy, Darden, Vines.
I found McKeel's in the Pasquotank Co. Loose Estate records of 1700-1890's.
