Searching for the parents and family origins of John McKellar and wife, Jessie Fletcher, who were living in Glassary, Lochgoilhead, Argyll at 30 Lochnell Street in 1871 and 1881. John was born in ca. 1833 in Glassary. Jessie was born ca. 1832 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire. Their children were: Alexander ( b.c. 1860 ), Jessie ( b.c. 1867 ), Duncan ( b.c. 1871 ), John ( b.c. 1874 ), and Coll ( b.c. 1880 ). The family emmigrated to America on Sept. 4, 1890. According to his draft record, Coll McKellar had been born in Furnace, Scotland on June 17, 1879. They went to the Boston, MA. area. I am searching for the parents and family origins of John McKellar and Jessie Fletcher. Any help would be very much appreciated.
