Howard J. McLaughlin
Howard Joseph McLaughlin, 66, of Edinboro
died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on January 8, 1943, the son of the late Roy J. and Mildred E. Wehrle McLaughlin. With his great sense of humor and warm smile, his family and friends knew him as Butch.
He worked as Plant Manager for Wilson Research but more recently retired from the Wine and Spirits store in Edinboro. He loved the outdoors; hunting, camping, boating and fishing especially when done with his family. He was a great man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce A. McLaughlin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl (Reynolds) McLaughlin;
a daughter, Michelle M. Bucko of Mckean;
a son, Frank J. McLaughlin and his wife Elizabeth, of Edinboro,
also five grandchildren, Katelyn, Matthew and Jacob Bucko, Madison and Ryan McLaughlin.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Jacquel officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in McKean. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Our Lady of the Lake Church.
