My Great Grandmother was Margaret McLaughlin, married to David Oscar Doran in Avonmore Ontario on Nov 30 1875. The marriage documents indicate that Margaret was 22 yrs old (b: 1853/4), Catholic, and was born in the United States to parents Patrick and Nancy.

Margaret's Death Certificate, dated March 30, 1906 shows her as age 53 (b: 1853/4)as being married to David Oscar Doran, born in Roxborough, Stormont, Ontario and being a Methodist.

Margaret's tombstone in Osnabruck, Stormont, Ontario give her birth date as Feb 15, 1854 and confirms her marriage to David Oscar Doran and her death date as Mar 30 1906.

I have followed several leads which suggest that her parents were Patrick McLaughlin b: 1824 in Ontario and Ann Nancy Duff b: 1826 in Antrim, Ireland but I have no solid evidence. I'm also confused by her differing birth locations and religions shown on two official documents.

Does anybody have a suggestion as to how I can clarify her ancestry???
