My ggg grandfather was David McMahon born abt 1814 in SC. In 1837 he married Mary Lile in Perry County, AL. Then abt 1840/41 he moved into Mississippi (What is now Webster Co.).
He had two boys, William Lewis and John. William was born in AL abt 1840. I am begining to think that David was going by his middle name (possible). In all the census records he shows that both his mother and father were born in SC also. In all my years of searching I have been unable to trace who his parents might be or brothers/sisters. In keeping with naming of the period I think his father must have been either William or John (likely William). Is there anyone who may have any information on who David's relatives might be.
