My great great grandmother Mary Ann Mcmaster was born in Kirkcubbin Co Down according to the census of 1891 for Stevenston Ayrshire Scotland. Her death certificate shows her parents as William Mcmaster and Agnes McGowan, Mary Ann's Marriage certificate (Stevenston Ayrshire Scotland) of Dec 1863 to Robert Gibb shows her age as 17, so she was born about 1846, certificate states both parents dead at time of marriage.
